Chukars Stick Godfathers with 4-3 Loss
|
The Idaho Falls Chukars picked up a win at Idaho Falls Park, knocking off the Pontiac Godfathers, 4-3. Starting pitcher Francis Bumble was a big reason why. In 6 innings, Bumble surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 12 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. The Chukars raised their record to 40-56.
Idaho Falls shortstop Alan Parker contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball into center field for a 2-run single. It was his 41st hit of the season and put the Chukars ahead, 3-0.
"Got a lot of swings and misses today," said Bumble.
