Despite a great performance by Niagara Falls second baseman Chad King, the Pontiac Godfathers defeated the Expos by the score of 7-5 at Pontiac Copperdome. King was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Luka Daalmeijer, 2-2, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. Pontiac occupies 11th place in the Menard's A at 34-58.

Pontiac took a 7-5 lead on Robert Curtis's 3rd double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Curtis hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Niagara Falls pitcher Chris MacIntyre visibly frustrated.

"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Curtis told the Pontiac Chronicle.
