Chukars Beat Torch, 7-3
|
Christophe Bouet had a good game, but he could not keep the Mancelona Torch from falling, 7-3, to the Idaho Falls Chukars at Idaho Falls Park. The Mancelona shortstop belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice in the loss. Idaho Falls starter Francis Bumble was credited with the win after throwing 104 pitches over 6.2 innings. His record now stands at 5-7. Winston Razote collected save number 1.
Juan Miranda hit a 2-run double off Nathan Mitchell in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Chukars in front, 5-3. In addition to the double, Miranda had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Miranda.
The Chukars saw their record improve to 36-51.
