Losing Streak Continues for Generals with 3-2 Loss to Commodores
|
Behind a fine performance from António Gutiérrez, the Put-In-Bay Commodores knocked off the Washington Generals, 3-2. Gutiérrez hit 2 home runs for the Commodores. The losses continue to pile up for Washington, which has now fallen 9 times in a row.
The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth when Gutiérrez, who is tied for 8th in the 3A with a .360 on-base percentage, hit a solo home run. It propelled the Commodores into the lead, 2-1.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Put-In-Bay manager Adrián Hernández said.
