The Alaskan Bush Pilots defeated the Idaho Falls Chukars, 6-4, in M3L Single A action at Bush Pilots Park. Alaskan pitcher Brandon Fox had a standout performance. Fox, now 6-4, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 10, walking 2, and allowing 4 runs. Melvin Walton closed it out for his 2nd save.
Steve Lund, who is tied for 4th in the 3A with a .481 slugging percentage, helped out the Alaskan cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the left fielder drew 2 walk in 5 trips to the plate.
"I just made my pitches," said Fox, "and the ball kept missing the bat."
Alaskan now sits in third place in the Menard's A at 45-32.
