Pontiac got a terrific performance from pitcher John Sackett, but it wasn't enough to beat the Idaho Falls Chukars. Idaho Falls won the Pontiac Copperdome contest, 4-0. Sackett threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. Felipe Hull got credit for the win, improving to 3-2. He allowed no runs on 5 hits in 8.1 innings. The losing streak for Pontiac has now reached 5 games.

Idaho Falls used the timely hitting of Juan Miranda to capture the win. The second baseman stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Chukars on top, 4-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Miranda.
