Caldwell starter Naohiro Ueno put a stranglehold on the Walla Walla offense. The left-hander had complete command of his curveball in leading the Chiefs to a 3-0 win. At 24-23, the Chiefs find themselves in 5th place in the Menard's A.

In the bottom of the fourth, Wallace Martin delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 3rd, the Caldwell shortstop hit a 2-run double, putting the Chiefs in front, 3-0.

"Naohiro was throwing strikes, locating well," said Caldwell manager Kevin Fields.
