Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Chukars
|
The Idaho Falls Chukars overcame a good performance by Niagara Falls center fielder Arlen Russell to knock off Niagara Falls, 7-6, at Idaho Falls Park. Russell was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The 8th-place Chukars have a record of 18-24.
The Chukars procured the win, in large part because of right fielder Juan Miranda. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"It was terrific getting this win," Miranda said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
