The Washington Generals defeated the Pontiac Godfathers, 6-2, in M3L Single A action at Washington Park. Washington pitcher Steve McGee had a standout performance. McGee got the win, improving to 4-2. He allowed 3 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. McGee allowed 2 runs. Washington now has a record of 21-19 with the win.
With one out in the bottom of the first, Jesús López barreled up a changeup from John Sackett. The result was a 3-run home run, putting the Generals in front, 4-0.
