Generals Upend Tula, 5-1
|
The Washington Generals went home winners at Ramblers Ballpark, thanks in large part to starter Eduardo Soto. Soto stifled the Chicago Tula, enabling Washington to grab the 5-1 win. In 6.2 innings, Soto surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 3. He allowed 1 run. Today's win puts Washington at 16-12, while Chicago falls to 13-15.
Joe Arthur, the 22-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Arthur contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the third inning to put Washington up, 2-0.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Soto.
