Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Screaming Eagles
The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles defeated the Virginia Beach Whales, 3-2. Doing his part was center fielder Jim Willis, who was 4 for 4 with a home run and 2 doubles. Reliever Todd Huff picked up the win. His record improves to 7-1. Shawn Walker took the loss. The Screaming Eagles have now won 4 straight.

Mercer Island won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With no outs and Shawn Walker on the mound for Virginia Beach, right fielder Koji Sugisata hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Screaming Eagles fans to their feet.

"To not win that game stings a little bit," said Virginia Beach manager Marv Bradford.
