Bush Pilots Beat Godfathers, 6-2
|
The Alaskan Bush Pilots picked up a win at Bush Pilots Park, knocking off the Pontiac Godfathers, 6-2. Starting pitcher Brandon Fox was a big reason why. In 7.1 innings, Fox surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. With the win, the Bush Pilots improved to 16-8.
Larry Burns was a prime factor in the win for the Bush Pilots. In the bottom of the fourth with one out, the 21-year old first baseman hit a 2-run single. He was 1-4, while adding 2 RBI.
Burns said afterward that he was glad to help his team win.
