Fighting Imps Win, 5-1, at Virginia Beach

Ithaca got a strong outing from Steve Ward as the Fighting Imps defeated the Virginia Beach Whales, 5-1, at Virginia Beach Grounds. Ithaca is now 43-50.
Ithaca used the bat of Armando Soto to capture the win. The second baseman jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Fighting Imps ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
Soto said afterward that "winning is what it's all about."
