Hahn Delivers Walk-Off Win for Pierogis
|
Yakima pitcher Ioachime Yakutin gave the Pierogis all they could handle, but in the end, Squirrel Hill left Field of the Rawhides with a win, 2-1. Yakutin allowed 2 runs on 4 hits over 8 innings. The winner was Squirrel Hill reliever Jack Herer, now 2-1. The loser was Ioachime Yakutin. The win elevated the Pierogis to 47-44.
Grant Hahn was the walk-off hero for Squirrel Hill. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Pierogis right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"This place was rockin'," said Hahn.
