The Yakima Hops got a magnificent performance from pitcher Mark McMinn, who stifled the Chesapeake offense en route to a 2-1 Hops win at Hops Park. In 7.1 innings, McMinn surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 0 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. The win puts Yakima at 30-60.
Yakima took a 2-0 lead on Jeff Taylor's 5th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Chesapeake pitcher Clay Perkins in the bottom of the seventh.
