Pierogis Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Whales
Right-hander Ramón Espinoza mesmerized the Virginia Beach Whales while leading the Squirrel Hill Pierogis to a 4-0 victory. With the win, Squirrel Hill upped its record to 43-43.

Squirrel Hill used a well-timed hit by Chris Jones to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Pierogis ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Jones told the Squirrel Hill Times.
