Chesapeake got a terrific performance from pitcher Roberto Silva, but it wasn't enough to beat the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks. Ft. Polk South won the Ghost Crab Park contest, 3-1. Silva threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Teddy Barnes picked up the save for Ft. Polk South, his 4th of the year. With the win, the Thunder Hawks improved to 34-50.

The Thunder Hawks got a big at-bat from shortstop William Bray. For the game, Bray went 1-5 with a home run. In the top of the fifth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Ft. Polk South a 1-0 lead.

Bray told a local reporter: "My job is to go out and play as hard as I can."
