Dirty Reds Get One-Run Win at Athletic Club KC
|
The San Mateo Dirty Reds got a magnificent performance from pitcher Yin-reng Fong, who stifled the Athletic Club KC offense en route to a 2-1 Dirty Reds win at Athletics Park. Tom DeHart, now 5-5, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 0 and walking 0. Michael Donovan got the save, his 2nd in 3 chances.
In the top of the second, San Mateo third baseman Kawenaula Alohalani had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and two out, Alohalani stroked a run-scoring single to right. It made the score 1-0, San Mateo. For the game, he was 1 for 4.
"Enjoyed this one," Alohalani told the San Mateo Gazette. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
