Turbeaus Knock Off Hops at Hops Park
|
Gulf Coast beat Yakima at Hops Park, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to designated hitter Mario Rodríguez. He threw 5.0 innings allowing 2 runs. Gulf Coast now sits in 4th place in the Premier AA at 42-34.
Gulf Coast right fielder Ken Hines contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball into left field for a 2-run single. It was his 75th hit of the season and put the Turbeaus ahead, 5-2.
"We'll hit the hot tub in good spirits tonight," said Hines.
