Hops Knock Off Thunder Hawks at Hops Park

Yakima rode a good effort from starter Steve Crabtree to beat the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks at Hops Park. The final score was 3-2. The winning pitcher was Crabtree, now 4-1. He tossed 6 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 4. Thomas Brown was credited with the save for Yakima, his 1st of the season.
Cesare Badaloni had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth for Yakima. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Yakima in front, 3-0.
"Steve is still learning," said Hops manager Benjamin Baars. "The sky's the limit for him."
With the win, Yakima goes to 24-51, while the Thunder Hawks fall to 31-44.
