Cangrejos Fantasmas Get 6-2 Win Versus Gulf Coast
|
Chesapeake picked up a win at Ghost Crab Park, toppling the Gulf Coast Turbeaus, 6-2. Pitcher Zayn Reddy was one of the reasons the Cangrejos Fantasmas triumphed. Reddy, now 2-5, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 8, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. At 34-28, the Cangrejos Fantasmas are currently 4th in the Premier AA.
The Cangrejos Fantasmas got a big at-bat from right fielder Armando Merza, who in the bottom of the third hit a 2-run double. It was his 13th double of the season and put the Cangrejos Fantasmas on top, 3-1.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Merza told the Chesapeake Bulletin.
