Thunder Hawks Lose to Screaming Eagles in Walk Off
The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles had to overcome a fine performance from Ft. Polk South pitcher Carlos Churen to grab a 3-2 win at Mercer Island Grounds. Churen allowed no runs over 5.1 innings. Mercer Island leads the Premier AA by 4 games.

In the bottom of the ninth, with no one out and the game tied, 2-2, pinch hitter Leon Wright won it for Mercer Island. With the bases loaded, Wright hit a 1-1 fastball from Bob Archer for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 3-2 win.

"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Wright said.
