Turbeaus Handle Screaming Eagles, 4-3

The Gulf Coast Turbeaus did just enough to secure a victory over the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 4-3, at Mercer Island Grounds. Nobody did more than pitcher Craig Quinn. Milo Clark nailed down his 15th save. After today's action, Gulf Coast sits at 33-23; Mercer Island slips to 35-21.
Gulf Coast used a well-timed hit by Ken Hines to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Turbeaus ahead, 4-2. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"Another day, another win. On to the next one," Quinn told the Gulf Coast Observer.
