Thunder Hawks Suffer 6-4 Loss to Pierogis

Squirrel Hill rode a decent outing from starter Jacob Cox to victory over the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks. The final score was 6-4. Tetsu Gato earned the save for Squirrel Hill, his 9th of the year. The 8th-place Pierogis raised their record to 26-29.
Chris Jones drove in one run for Squirrel Hill. The 27-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch off Nick Johnston. It was his 17th RBI of the season.
"I made some pitches when I had to," said Cox.
