Win Lifts Expos to 9-5
|
Both teams had their chances, but the Niagara Falls Expos eventually prevailed.
Brandon Fox pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Alaskan Bush Pilots, despite Fox's fine outing, dropped a 2-1 decision to the Niagara Falls Expos at Waterfall Park. Niagara Falls reliever Daniel Snyder picked up the win to move to 2-1. Brandon Fox suffered the loss.
Making an impact for the home team was Tommy Olsen. In the bottom of the third, the 21-year old shortstop had a run-scoring ground out. That made the score 2-0, Expos.
"We were in it," said Alaskan manager Rafael Villalobos. "We just didn't score enough runs."
The loss drops the Bush Pilots to 8-6.
