Generals Need Extra Innings to Top Chiefs, 2-1
|
Washington left-hander Cheol-han Cho helped his team edge Caldwell by the score of 2-1. Cho kept the opposing lineup in check. Larry Hodge earned the save for Washington, his 1st of the year. The loss drops the Chiefs to 6-8.
Runs were hard to come by in this one. Russell Corfield's at-bat with one out in the top of the 12th, therefore, was critical. The Washington right fielder drew a walk, driving in 1 run, to put his team on top, 2-1.
"There's no quit in this team," said Generals manager Micheal Garren.
