Tight Tilt Goes to Thunder Hawks, 3-2
|
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks stopped the Athletic Club KC Academy, 3-2, behind an impressive performance from Tynan Taylor. The 27-year old catcher made life miserable for Athletic Club KC Academy pitching. He went 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Ft. Polk South reliever Jorge Salas, now 2-1. The loser was Matt Blair. The Athletic Club KC Academy, at 24-26, have lost 4 straight games.
Taylor contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Ft. Polk South in the top of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Taylor took a cutter from Matt Blair and stroked the home run to right-center. His 7th home run of the season allowed the Thunder Hawks to leap in front, 2-1.
