The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles picked up a win at Mercer Island Grounds, knocking off the Yakima Hops, 2-0. Starting pitcher Pedro Salazar was a big reason why. The losing streak for Yakima has now reached 9 games.

Mercer Island took a 2-0 lead on Luis Macazaga's 6th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Macazaga hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Yakima pitcher Iván Vidro shaking his head.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Mercer Island manager Ricardo Vargas.
