Chesapeake rode a decent outing from starter George Hill to victory over the Yakima Hops. The final score was 5-2. Hill got the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed 2 hits and walked 3 over 7.2 innings. Hill allowed 2 runs. Eduardo Rivera, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 4th save.
Tony Díaz had a big hit for Chesapeake in the top of the first inning. With Chesapeake leading 1-0, Díaz hit a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Cangrejos Fantasmas up, 3-0.
"I still think this team can play even better," Díaz told the Chesapeake Bulletin.
This loss makes it 6 in a row for Yakima.
