Mississippi Mockingbirds starter Aurelio Reyes was in fine form against the Oakland Oaks at Magnolia Park, leading his team to a win, 3-2. The victory gives the Mockingbirds a record of 51-44.

The Oaks had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Mockingbirds going into the bottom of the third inning. That changed quickly when the fan favorite Dhataki Pummy came to the plate. Pummy hit a 2-run home run on a 1-0 slider from Oakland hurler Tom Pegum. It was Pummy's 12th home run of the year.

"We've hit a rough patch right now," said Oakland skipper DAshley GoAs.
