Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Turbeaus
|
Gulf Coast Turbeaus starter Craig Quinn was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas, 4-3. Bruno Dares, now 2-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2 innings. The first-place Turbeaus have won 5 in a row.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 13th inning, when Gulf Coast first baseman Jack Washington, facing Graham Weetman, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Turbeaus the 4-3 win.
"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Quinn.
