A 5-RBI performance from the 24-year old shortstop Mibre Chipley helped the Virginia Beach Whales beat the Squirrel Hill Pierogis, 7-4. The Pierogis, now 6-12, continue their poor start.

A key moment came in the top of the fifth inning when Whales first baseman Arturo Collazo socked a 1-2 changeup to left for a 2-run single, putting Virginia Beach up, 4-2.

"Feels good to get the job done," Collazo said after the game.
