Highlanders Fell Atoms, 4-1
Asheville Highlanders starter Andy Johnson was in fine form against the Bethesda Atoms at Asheville Park, leading his team to a win, 4-1. The Highlanders lead the Silver AA by 3½ games.

Had José Arizandieta not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Arizandieta hit a 3-run home run. That made the score 4-1, in favor of the Highlanders.

"We put together a nice win," Arizandieta said.
