Thunder Lose to Blues in Walk Off
The Barton Springs Blues overcame a good performance by St. Petersburg third baseman Jay Fuller to knock off St. Petersburg, 8-7, at Blues Field. Fuller was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. José Vargas, now 2-1, was credited with the win. He allowed 3 runs on 2 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. Barton Springs is third in the Silver AA with a record of 47-42.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Barton Springs trailing 7-6, Mark Fuller hit a fastball from Ed Wheeler for a 2-run home run, giving the Blues the walk-off win.

"We came out aggressive," said Blues manager Joe Kehoe. "We came out swinging the bats."
