Olympia Gets 2-0 Win
|
The Olympia Ogres had to overcome a good performance from Bethesda pitcher Brandon Seif to claim a 2-0 win at Atoms Field. Seif went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. Jordan Jacobs notched his 12th save in 14 chances. The 9th-place Ogres now have a win-loss record of 36-43.
Olympia relied on the hitting of Jung-heum Kim to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Ogres on top, 1-0. For the game, Kim had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I like what I saw today," said Olympia manager Steve Ward, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
