Blues Fall Short, 5-4, at Providence
The Providence Pilgrims defeated the Barton Springs Blues, 5-4, at Field of Plenty. Providence first baseman Gustavo Pérez had a superb performance. He was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Christopher Hutchinson, 1-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 3.1 innings. The Pilgrims are now 43-33, while the Blues fall to 40-36.

Mike Lee was 1-3 with a walk for Providence. The 26-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring walk off Chris Thompson. It was his 20th walk of the season.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Lee said after the game.
