Lake Minnetonka Gets 4-3 Win
|
Barton Springs wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Quinton Lee, falling to the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats, 4-3. Lee threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Waleliano Girawheen earned the save, his 11th. At 36-38, the Love Boats claim 6th place in the Silver AA.
The Love Boats got an important contribution from second baseman Jim Mitchell, who in the top of the first hit a 1-1 fastball into right for a 2-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Love Boats ahead, 3-0.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Barton Springs manager Joe Kehoe. "But we decided not to take it."
