Highlanders Collect 5-4 Win Over Atoms
|
Fans watched the Asheville Highlanders and the Bethesda Atoms fight to the finish.
The Asheville Highlanders wiggled past the Bethesda Atoms, 5-4, at Atoms Field. The win was highlighted by the performance of Asheville pitcher David Guerra. The Highlanders lead the Silver AA by 3½ games.
Han-wu Woo hit a run-scoring triple off Kyle Young in the top of the tenth, which put the Highlanders in front, 5-4. Woo had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 5.
"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Guerra. "Successful pitchers do it."
