Polar Bears Suffer 9-1 Setback
The performance of Han-wu Woo proved critical in helping Asheville beat Billings, 9-1. The Highlanders third baseman went 2-4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Andy Johnson picked up the win, improving his season record to 4-3. He struck out 4 in 5.1 innings. The Polar Bears, at 32-40, have lost 4 straight games.

The Highlanders got an important contribution from left fielder Gabriel Montaño, who in the bottom of the second knocked a 2-2 slider into right-center for a 2-run triple. It was his 3rd triple of the season and put the Highlanders ahead, 3-0.
