Late Magic Gets Barton Springs 4-2 Win
|
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Barton Springs Blues got the win.
Starting pitcher Quinton Lee took care of business, helping the Barton Springs Blues stifle the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs, 4-2. Barton Springs currently is in third place in the Silver AA at 35-29.
Barton Springs used the timely hitting of Lynn Flanagan to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Blues on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Flanagan. "And not try to do too much."
