Asheville Hot Streak Continues with 3-1 Win
|
In a well-pitched game between the Asheville Highlanders and the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs, pitcher Andy Johnson was fantastic. The Asheville right-hander helped his team secure the win, 3-1. The save was credited to John Banks, his 2nd. At 33-24, the Highlanders find themselves in first place in the Silver AA.
The Highlanders got a lift from designated hitter Su-shun Hung, who in the bottom of the third hit a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season put the Highlanders on top, 3-0.
"That's a solid team effort right there," said Hung. "Everyone's feeling positive after that win."
