Highlanders Take Down Guinea Pigs, 2-1
|
Asheville got a strong outing from Elvin Olson as the Highlanders defeated the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs, 2-1, at Asheville Park. The first-place Highlanders have won 11 straight.
The Highlanders procured the win, in large part because of first baseman Evan Segar. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring double.
"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Segar said.
