Bullets Lose to Dirty Reds, 7-6
The San Mateo Dirty Reds topped the Baltimore Bullets, 7-6, with right fielder Sasha Mamchenko playing a big role. Mamchenko was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Dirty Reds in the win. Picking up the win was Sylvain Richard. He went 6.1 innings, allowing 5 runs on 7 hits. The left--hander struck out 9 and walked 2. Tom DeHart was called on to finish, recording his 3rd save.

Mamchenko contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for San Mateo in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 4-3, Mamchenko took a changeup from Perry Cox and stroked the home run to left. His 17th home run of the season allowed the Dirty Reds to leap in front, 6-4.

"We got the victory," said Mamchenko. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."

San Mateo has now won 4 straight.
