Highlanders Stay Hot With 7-2 Win
The Asheville Highlanders extended their winning streak.

The Asheville Highlanders picked up a win at Asheville Park, knocking off the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats, 7-2. On the mound for Asheville was right-hander Andy Johnson, who played a pivotal role in the win. Johnson, now 2-3, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 2, walking 1, and allowing 1 run.

In the bottom of the first, Evan Segar hit a 2-run home run. The 7th home run of the season for the Asheville first baseman put the Highlanders on top, 2-0.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Segar told the Asheville Gazette.
