Highlanders Stay Hot, Beat Dolphins, 3-1
|
Asheville starter Henry Tucker put a stranglehold on the Pine Island offense. The right-hander had complete command of his changeup in leading the Highlanders to a 3-1 win. Yermolay Olhivsky recorded his 11th save for Asheville. With the win, the Highlanders have a record of 25-24.
A crucial at-bat came with the bases empty and no one out in the bottom of the sixth inning. That's when first baseman Evan Segar, who is tied for 7th in the SAA in hits with 47, hit a triple. The Highlanders went on to win.
"This kind of win will certainly make our fans happy," Tucker told the Asheville Gazette.
