Lake Minnetonka Gets 4-1 Win
|
The Lake Minnetonka Love Boats beat the Bethesda Atoms, 4-1, at Atoms Field. The win was due in part to center fielder Anthony Espinoza, who was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Lake Minnetonka reliever Daniel Wyles picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Júlio Rocho shouldered the loss. Edgar Pérez sewed up the save, his 5th.
Lake Minnetonka used a timely hit from Conceição Adriano to get the win. The right fielder delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the sixth inning to put the Love Boats on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was huge.
"I like the roll we're on," said Lake Minnetonka manager William Smith.
Lake Minnetonka has now won 4 games in a row.
