Behind the hitting of David Jones, the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs stopped the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats, 7-3. Jones belted 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Guinea Pigs. The 6th-place Guinea Pigs lifted their record to 18-19.

Gwinnett took a 6-1 lead on Jones's 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Iván Cruz in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Gwinnett to the win.

"I felt good up there," said Jones. "I saw the ball well."
