Asheville picked up a win at Heron Field, bumping off the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats, 5-0. Pitcher Henry Tucker was a major reason the Highlanders emerged victorious. The Highlanders raised their record to 15-20.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Juan Guzmán? The Asheville third baseman had a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put the Highlanders on top, 1-0. For the game, Guzmán had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
