4-3 Polar Bears Win over Highlanders Evens Season Record
|
The Billings Polar Bears stopped the Asheville Highlanders, 4-3, at The Igloo. The Polar Bears got a big game from Héctor Mata, who went 2-4 with a double, while scoring 3 times. Billings reliever Arnold Huber was the winner. His record is now 1-3. David Guerra took the loss. Cole Dawes locked down his 7th save.
The Polar Bears got an important contribution from first baseman Jason Snyder, who in the bottom of the fifth hit a fastball into right for a run-scoring double. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Polar Bears ahead, 4-0.
Mata told a Billings Bulletin reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
The Polar Bears now have a mark of 14-14.
