Hung Slugs Highlanders to 6-4 Win
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Asheville Highlanders and St. Petersburg Thunder.

Su-shun Hung was a major factor in the 6-4 Asheville win over St. Petersburg. The Highlanders designated hitter was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Carlos Cruz earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. He upped his record to 1-2. The save went to Yermolay Olhivsky, his 7th this season.

Hung had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-2 fastball from Ed Wheeler, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Highlanders a 6-4 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Hung.

Hung told the media after that game that the mood in the clubhouse is "extremely positive" after a win like that.

At 12-15, Asheville is in 8th place in the Silver AA.
